Happy Traveler is an herbal remedy for stressful situations that has been made into a capsule and a soft chew. It contains valerian, German chamomile, l-tryptophan, and St. John’s wort. Happy Traveler is intended to be used 20-40 minutes prior to the stressful event to achieve maximum effectiveness.

Valerian is the most widely used calming herb. It calms the nervous system and helps animals achieve a state of relaxation without altering their state or making them appear unresponsive. Valerian may help to reduce the frequency and severity of seizures in epileptic animals. It also calms the digestive tract in anxious situations.

• German Chamomile is a mild sedative that also calms the digestive tract during nervous times. It works to ease nervous spasms, expels gas, improves digestion through increase bile production, and reduces inflammation. The flavor of chamomile is generally welcomed by animals
• L-Tryptophan is an amino acid (building block of protein) that helps the body to relax, sleep, and generally feel good. It assists the hormones involved with mood and the response to stress. It is the amino acid responsible for making us sleepy after eating turkey.

When should Ark Naturals Happy Traveler be used? 

It can be used for any emotionally troubling circumstances such as visits to the vet or groomer, thunderstorms or other loud noises, excessive barking or hissing cause by stress, or even day to day anxiety. Happy Traveler is a great herbal remedy for isolated instances but has also been used daily for those afternoon thunderstorms during the summer. It takes about 20-40 minutes to become effective and depending on the animal, can last up to six hours.

Inactive Ingredients: black malt extract, dry poultry liver flavor, flax seed oil, gelatin, glycerin, natural flavors, salt, whey.

Recommended Use:
Up to 10 lbs- 1 soft chew
Up to 30 lbs- 2-3 soft chews
Up to 60 lbs- 3-4 soft chews
Up to 80 lbs- 5-6 soft chews
100 lbs and over begin with 7 – use additional soft chews as needed.

For dogs and cats 12 weeks and older.
